Tamara Mellon made her name because the co-founding father of Jimmy Choo, and now the shoe supremo has turned clothing queen together with her debut collection.

Featuring luxe fabrics, cool laser cuts, subtle sprays of sequins and a heavy hit of leopard print, the 46-year-old’s eponymous line is the very best mixture of classic staples and statement buys.

London-born Tamara, who parted ways with the enduring shoe brand in 2011, bucked the fad week trend of revealing her range months in advance of its release, telling Bloomberg: ‘We’re living in a worldwide where women wish to buy now wear now. They do not would like to examine shows after which have products in stores six months later.’

Not only is the hot-York-living designer making her fierce togs on hand, her plan is to introduce monthly drops of things counting on the time of year.

‘The fashion business, you understand, delivers coats in July; spring/summer dresses in January. Nobody desires to do this, no one’s in that mindset.’

So if you have your eyes on any of Ms Mellon’s wares, you will not must wait long to update your wardrobe as her label hits Harrods and online haute couture hotspot Net-A-Porter.com from November.
