Former creative director of Bally, Michael Herz is the person that have been hired to enroll in the Von Furstenberg team during this newly-created role. He’ll work closely with the designer herself, and should be answerable for overseeing the promotion and design of all aspects of the label – from ready-to-wear to how the stores look.
Herz’s appointment follows his time working with Diane von Furstenberg as a curator for her recent exhibition, Journey of a Dress, in La.
Speaking to WWD about his new role, Herz said: ‘I stay up for working closely with Diane and the team to continue to construct a powerful ready-to-wear and accessories portfolio this is renowned around the globe.’
