Roksanda Ilinic has chosen a sexy Grade II listed building on Mount Street in Mayfair because the location for her debut flagship store.

The London-based designer, whose London Fashion Week show is usually the most efficient valuable-attended at the schedule, designed the shop with British architect David Adjaye.

Speaking concerning the shop opening, Roksanda said: ‘Opening our first store is a large milestone for me. It will be important that it’s here in London, and this incredible Mount Street site is the best location.The shop stands out as the home for the logo in additional ways than one, and should be the perfect space for my vision for the label to be fully realised’.

Roksanda is renowned for her exquisite eveningwear and she or he is the go-to designer for varied celebrities – from Keira Knightley and Gwyneth Paltrow to Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama – searching for the best red-carpet dress.

M.I.A.’s capsule collection for Versus Versace comes as an unexpected but oh-so-exciting move for the worldwide fashion brand.

Teaming up with the Grammy-award winning artist, the nineteen-piece collection perfectly encompasses the star’s rebellion with the brand’s fierce attitude. A match made in heaven? It’d seem so. 

The finest twist comes from the line’s bootleg inspiration, reworking the theorem of pretend Versace merchandise sold at the streets, as kaleidoscopic prints are cut into clashing dresses, tops, skirts and trousers.

“I love the energy of the road, so when M.I.A. suggested we use bootlegs of Versace, i believed it was such a good idea,” said Donatella Versace.

‘You know, I do would like to start a shoe collection,’ Victoria told the audience. ‘If anybody here’s a shoe designer, please do come and spot me!’

Michael Kors launches new campaign to focus on world hunger

Michael Kors has launched a brand new campaign to tackle global hunger, with Halle Berry, Chanel Iman, Lily Aldridge and Joan Smalls stepping in to lend their support.

The American designer has teamed up with the United Nations World Food Programme all this month to honor World Food Day – which occurs today, 16 October – with awareness-raising activities running around the globe. 

How will we become involved? Michael Kors teams, in New York, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Hong Kong, will hit the streets to offer away Watch Hunger Stop T-shirts. Photo booth pictures of these wearing their limited tees will then be streamed on New York’s Time Square billboards and at WatchHungerStop.com. Simply #WatchHungerStop to become involved online.

Halle Berry also helped to launch a brand new 100 Series watch in time for the campaign, and for every watch sold, 100 children in a hunger-stricken area will receive a nutritious meal. 

“The response to Watch Hunger Stop has been amazing,” said Michael. “We delivered one and a half million meals to children in lower than six months, and we’ve only just begun. Our hope for World Food Day is to get people talking about hunger, and in regards to the some ways they may help address the issue. Donate, volunteer, talk, text, tweet – really, everyone could be an envoy.”
